Co-founder & Director
Edward is a well-known investor from his background in the family office world and asset management. He first worked as a fund manager at New Star Asset Management in London. In 2004 the fund he managed with Patrick Evershed won the Lipper Citywire All-Stars Fund Manager of the Year award for the best performing fund in the UK All Companies Sector.
He has served as the CIO of Hanson Family Holdings, a major UK family office and represented the family’s interests on the boards of several operating companies around the world and was CIO of Aldbourne Investment Management. In addition, he was a Co-founder and joint Managing Director of Hanson Asset Management.
In 2018 Edward became CEO of Earth Capital, a global sustainable private equity business managing in excess of $1.5 billion. At Earth Capital, he combined being a member of the global investment committee with overseeing the global operations. Edward re-joined Arlington Capital in 2020 which he co-founded in 2017.
Ed started his career as a fund manager in 2002 at New Star Asset Management winning the Lipper Citywire All Stars Fund manager of the Year award. He has managed both hedge funds and long-only growth portfolios.
In 2010 he co-founded Hanson Asset Management Limited as an independent investment management and advisory firm. He held the position of Director at Hanson Asset Management from 2010 to 2017.
Before founding Arlington Capital, Patrick co-founded Hanson Asset Management. He has over 16 years of professional investment and financial advisory experience. Whilst CEO and Investment Director of Adurion Capital, he invested in distressed and turnaround opportunities.
Patrick also served at Strategic Value Partners, a distressed hedge fund, at Rhône Group, a leveraged buyout fund, and at Fonds Partenaires, the Lazard partners’ principal investment fund. Patrick originally started his career in Lazard’s mergers and acquisitions advisory practice.
He has been based in Frankfurt, Paris and London.
His core competencies lie in the areas of principal investments, corporate finance, real estate, general management and structuring. Patrick read economics and business administration at EBS University for Business & Law in Germany, the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Dijon, France and the Graduate School for Business and Management at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

The members of identified staff who are fully or partly involved in the activities of the Fund that havea material impact on the risk profile of the Fund, such as Directors and Investment Committeemembers and the like are compensated through a fixed salary. Variable remuneration rules andpolicies are not applicable since the directors and investment committee members are exclusivelyremunerated through a fixed salary and the reimbursement of expenses incurred in the carrying outtheir duties. Disapplication has been deemed justifiable and proportionate on the basis of anassessment of size, internal organisation as well as the nature, scope and complexity of the activitiesit carries out. The Directors have resolved to disapply the Pay-Out Process principles as listed in itsstandard licence conditions and not to appoint a remuneration committee. Such derogation wasapproved by the MFSA for a period of two years ended 21 January 2022.
